My name is Pedro Otero García, I obtained my degree in telecommunications engineering with mention in telematics at UVigo in 2023. In the past I had the opportunity to work in IA&ML projects in which I focused on synthetic data generation, especially with Generative Adversarial Networks, and in the incorporation of reinforcement learning (RL) mechanisms for supply management. Currently I have pivoted my career to the world of cybersecurity and I am about to finish my master’s thesis in MUniCS (Máster Inter-Universitario en Ciberseguridad) within the ICLab. The theme of this thesis is the incorporation of Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) and Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) as protection mechanisms for open interfaces in a 5G architecture that follows the design philosophy of Open RAN. Now at ICLab I am working on the incorporation of PQC and QKD to the telecommunications world participating in the QURSA and REETECH projects.
